First weather warning:

  • The storms will move east and exit the area by 2 a.m
  • Wednesday is a first weather alert day: Strong to severe storms are possible in the afternoon and evening (south of St. Louis)
  • The active weather pattern will continue into the holiday weekend

Tonight Storms continue and the threat is very low. By 2am the storms will exit the area to the east and then expect a dry morning commute.

Wednesday is also an initial weather warning day, with the higher threat centered south of St. Louis. On Wednesday afternoon and evening the storms could become strong to severe and approach us from the southwest. The current time is from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. However, check back for updates as we may see some adjustments at this point. Wind and hail would be the most likely threats with a low tornado threat for areas to the south where the severe level 2 threat is shown in the map below.

Rest of the week: Our warm and unsettled weather pattern continues. The forecast through Memorial Day calls for at least the possibility of rain and storms each day! The 7-day forecast shows the possibility of further strong to severe storms this weekend. Sunday appears to be a candidate for a First Alert Weather Day, but again, based on this pattern, it is still too early to have confidence in the severity and timing. Check back frequently as we continue to analyze new data and update the forecast.
