LaPorte woman dead after two-vehicle crash – 95.3 MNC

An elderly LaPorte woman died in a two-vehicle crash in LaPorte County. It happened on Sunday, May 19, around 2 p.m. in the 8300 block of County Road 400 North.

The initial investigation on scene revealed that a black 2016 Audi, driven by a 74-year-old woman from LaPorte, was traveling east on CR 400 North. The Audi entered the westbound lane to the left of the center of the vehicle.

A blue 2021 Subaru driven by a 68-year-old LaPorte woman was traveling west on CR 400 North.

There was a collision between the Audi and the Subaru in the westbound lane of CR 400 North.

A passenger in the Audi suffered an upper body injury. A passenger in the Subaru, Carol Lukes, 92, of LaPorte, also suffered an upper body injury. Both passengers were taken to hospital for treatment.

Lukes had died from his injuries.

The two drivers remained uninjured.
