Sacramento police are at loggerheads with a suspect stealing a stolen fire truck

A police standoff ensues after a person stole a Sacramento Fire Department pickup truck Saturday night. Fire officials said the truck was stolen from Station 12 on 24th Street in the South Sacramento area. The truck is frequently used by the Sac Fire EMS captain. At 9:43 p.m., the vehicle was immobilized near Fairfield Street and Calvados Avenue in north Sacramento, police said.
