Two injured after shooting outside Whitehaven bank

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people were hospitalized after a shooting outside a bank in Whitehaven Friday morning.

The shooting happened at 9:25 a.m. in the 4600 block of Elvis Presley Boulevard, between the bank and a grocery store. When officers responded to the incident, they said they did not find a victim at the scene.

The victims reportedly arrived at Methodist South Hospital in a private vehicle. At the time, both were in critical condition.

Both victims were then taken to Regional One Hospital.

The woman’s condition is not currently critical, while the man’s condition remains critical, police said.

Several Memphis police officers and firefighters are on scene. Officers say they are working to identify the suspect.
