Chicago police warn of West Side burglary gang targeting businesses

CHICAGO (WLS) — Chicago police have issued a warning about a gang of burglars targeting businesses on the city’s West Side.

Police said that in each incident, the group of up to seven burglars – two to four of whom were acting as guards – would pick or otherwise “overcome” the locking mechanism of the store’s security gate and then break open a window or door at the front to get inside.
