Police are searching for a driver who took a man to hospital with serious injuries after an attack.

Officers said the male driver was flagged down by the victim sometime before 8pm (BST).

Two men from Cheltenham, one in his 20s and the other in his 50s, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in police custody, police said.

The victim was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital and then transferred to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for further treatment, police said. He has since been discharged.
