Man injured in shooting in Easton, police say

A 19-year-old is expected to survive his injuries after being shot in Easton Thursday evening.

Easton police said in a news release that officers were called to the 100 block of South 12th Street around 5:30 p.m. for a report of a shooting. When police arrived, they found evidence of a shooting there.

The victim was found shortly thereafter in the area of ​​10th Avenue and Lehigh Street. He suffered a gunshot wound. According to police, he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of his injury, which was described as survivable.
