AKG Named One of the World’s Most Beautiful Places by TIME

In a statement from the AKG on Friday, Director of Marketing and Media Relations Andrew Mayer expressed the museum’s reaction to the accomplishment.

“(This) demonstrates the impact of the museum’s extraordinary collection of modern and contemporary art, its renowned curatorial program, and its dynamic series of art classes, concerts, lectures, and other impactful special events and public programs,” Mayer said. “The museum is grateful to its members, supporters, and visitors, as well as to Visit Buffalo Niagara, whose steadfast partnership and advocacy made this distinction possible.”

For the 2024 list, TIME gathered nominations for places including hotels, cruises, restaurants, attractions, museums, parks and more from its international correspondents and contributors.

There was also an application process, looking for venues offering “new and exciting experiences”.

Other venues on the list include the Warren Street Hotel in New York, the Saka Museum in Indonesia, the EDP Art Reef in Portugal and the Royal Caribbean Icon of the Seas.
