Man shot in Steele Creek apartment, CMPD says

CHARLOTTE – A man was shot and killed in his Steele Creek apartment early Monday morning, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

Officers were called to Rachel Freeman Way around 1:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found the victim shot to death inside an apartment.

It is unclear what led to the shooting, police said.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed.

CMPD did not release any information on suspects.
