Three minor boys molest 9-year-old girl and push her into a canal in Andhra

Nandyal (Andhra Pradesh): A nine-year-old girl was allegedly molested by three minor boys and pushed into a canal, a police officer said on Thursday.
Nandyal district police superintendent K. Raghuveera Reddy said the girl, who was playing in a park on Sunday, was molested by the boys and then pushed into the Mucchumarri irrigation canal.

“They (the boys) molested them and pushed them into the canal. It happened on Sunday around 5 pm. They all came from Mucchumarri village and all knew each other,” said Reddy. Two of the accused are 15 years old while the other is 12 years old, the official said.

The police received a missing person report from the girl’s parents and began searching for her. However, they have not been able to find her so far. The boys are currently being questioned.

According to SP, a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) arrived on Thursday to search for the girl. Reddy said that they cannot ascertain whether the girl was raped until she is found.
