HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Hurricane Beryl made landfall in Matagorda County around 4 a.m. Monday, causing a growing number of power outages across southeast Texas.

According to CenterPoint Energy’s power outage tracking system, more than 252,000 customers are without power and that number is expected to rise rapidly.

Galveston is one of the areas where there is no electricity.

If you lose power while Beryl is moving through the area, you can find updates 24/7 on abc13.com and in the ABC13 mobile app.
