Student sexually assaulted during break-in at UCLA dorm

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – A man was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a UCLA student in her on-campus dorm room, authorities said.

The suspect entered the room at the Saxon Residential Suites in the 300 block of De Neve Drive around 2:40 a.m. Friday and allegedly sexually assaulted her in bed, according to a UCLA police statement.

He then left the room in an unknown direction. The woman, a UCLA student, was “medically treated at the scene,” the statement said.

It was not immediately known when and where the man was arrested. He was described as a heavyset white man in his 30s with a curly beard who was wearing all-black clothing and a beanie during the alleged attack.
