Investigations in Suspilne indicate that there are Ukrainians among the trainers of Russian troops

The Suspilne investigative team has published a shocking list provided by an anonymous source, identifying 151 Russian army instructors.

These “specialists” train newly mobilized Russian soldiers, but their activities are shrouded in secrecy: no public information is available and efforts are made to keep their role secret.

In addition to their names, investigators also obtained their contact information, military specializations, records of their participation in war and awards.

Twelve of them are considered traitors with Ukrainian citizenship who have either betrayed their country or are actively involved in the war in Ukraine in some way.

One of these men is 48-year-old soldier Vyacheslav Moskalenko, who teaches Russian recruits how to use anti-tank missile systems and grenade launchers.

Moskalenko’s dark past also includes membership in the Donbass PMC, a group of militants who voluntarily fought in eastern Ukraine from 2014 to 2022.

He was also involved in the Russian attack on Mariupol in spring 2022. Although Moskalenko is from Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, he holds dual Russian and Ukrainian citizenship, but is vocal about his disdain for Ukraine on social media.

In 1999, Moskalenko was convicted of theft and imprisoned, but was released on parole in 2001.

He ignored a travel ban, fled to Moscow and was listed as a refugee in Ukraine until at least 2010. He later married a Russian woman, Yulia Shpak, settled in Voronezh and acquired a Russian passport.

Russian offensive makes unstoppable progress in eastern Donbass

Ukrainian troops involved in the fighting have inflicted heavy losses on Kremlin forces, but a multi-pronged Russian offensive launched in early June continues to advance, capturing more Ukrainian territory.

Investigative journalists posing as Russian propagandists contacted Viacheslav to confirm his continued work as an instructor. He agreed to continue training and expressed interest in the identities of his trainees.

Another person on the list is Mykola Klochko, a 64-year-old originally from Bakhmut in Ukraine who now lives in Alushta, Crimea. Although Klochko portrays a quiet lifestyle on social media, he is an employee of the Russian army.

As a veteran of the Afghanistan war and recipient of the Soviet Order of the Red Star, he is currently training mobilized Russians in weapons and tactics as a lieutenant colonel.

In the past, Klochko ran a business in Ukraine renting out sports and recreational equipment. After the illegal annexation of Crimea, he quickly obtained Russian citizenship but appears to have retained his Ukrainian passport and his business activities are still listed in Ukrainian registers. As of 2020, he reportedly had an account in a Ukrainian bank. Since 2017, Klochko has been officially registered as a Russian entrepreneur and is engaged in trade, repairs and property rental.
