Departures delayed at Atlanta airport due to thunderstorms, FAA says

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Severe weather in metro Atlanta today delayed departures at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, according to the FAA.

The FAA said departures are being delayed an average of 45 minutes due to the thunderstorms.

The FAA had earlier issued a ground stop at the airport.

The arrivals were allowed to land.
