Rape: Ex-husband allegedly raped 32-year-old ex-wife after divorce | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A 32-year-old woman on Wednesday filed a rape complaint with Ashoka Garden police against her ex-husband. She alleged that her husband raped her after divorce and later married another woman. Based on her complaint, Ashoka Garden police filed a complaint against the accused and started an investigation. The complainant, a 32-year-old woman, stated that she was married to the accused in 2016. Her husband is an engineer in the electricity department while she was a housewife. They have a minor daughter. Police said the woman claimed that her husband divorced her in 2022. After the divorce, the accused approached her and said that he had divorced her under pressure from his family and offered to move in together to take care of the minor daughter. The woman agreed and they lived together. About two months ago, the accused left the woman and stopped answering her calls. She also learned that he had married another woman. She contacted the police and filed a complaint. TNN
