GoFundMe has been set up for the Temple, Texas, teenagers who died in a car crash in June

The families and friends of Krisna Soto and Taylour Pechal are raising money after the teenagers died in a car accident in late June.

TEMPLE, Texas – Two Temple families are raising money after two teenagers were killed in a car crash in Gonzales, Texas, in late June, the families said.

GoFundMe pages have been created to raise money for the families and funeral expenses of 18-year-old Taylour Pechal and 18-year-old Krisna Soto.

According to a GoFundMe campaign organized by Tammy Givens, Pechal had just graduated from Temple High School and was planning to attend Texas A&M University.

“Our hearts are broken, but we will never forget her infectious smile and loving soul,” Givens said on GoFundMe. “We want to help with the financial burden of the funeral. Any donations and especially prayers are appreciated.”

At the time of writing, GoFundMe had already raised over $11,000 of its $13,000 goal.

A GoFundMe campaign organized by Kathya Soto said Krisna Soto is also a recent graduate and dreams of working as a dental hygienist. Kathya Soto described Krisna as “a very loving, smart and funny person” with a “beautiful soul.”

“Krisna leaves our family in tatters, but the memories we have of her will never be forgotten,” Kathya Soto said on GoFundMe. “Please support our family during this incredibly difficult time. Any donation, no matter how large, will make a huge difference.”

At the time of writing, the GoFundMe campaign had already exceeded its goal of $10,000.
