Bodycam video shows police responding to swatting call at YouTuber Jack Doherty’s home – NBC 6 South Florida

New body camera footage shows police responding to a swatting call at YouTuber Jack Doherty’s Southwest Ranches home.

The incident occurred Wednesday when Davie police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the 20-year-old’s home.

When the officers arrive at the house and meet Doherty’s security chief behind the gate, they already seem to know that the call was fake.

“He’s being beaten again,” an officer tells the man. “Is he OK? Is everything OK here?”

“He’s upstairs, everyone is there, there are a few guys over there wrestling,” the man says.

Doherty is later seen approaching the gate and telling officers that everything is fine.

According to an incident report, an officer had already seen Doherty streaming on Kick.com and was safe.

The report also stated that swatting calls had been made from the home in the past.

Doherty has a popular YouTube page with more than 14.7 million subscribers and more than 9.6 million TikTok followers.

Some swatting incidents have resulted in police shooting people, and officials say they are concerned it will divert resources from real emergencies.
