The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 24, 2024, at approximately 12:44 p.m., they received a call that a child had been run over by a lawnmower at a residence on 260.^th Road west of Cushing, MN in Cushing Township.

According to the sheriff’s office, a 27-year-old woman from Cushing, MN was mowing her lawn with a riding lawn mower. She backed the mower up and accidentally ran over the foot of a 6-year-old male juvenile while the power take-off was engaged. The child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN with a serious foot injury.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Randall Fire and Rescue, Life Link III and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
