Houston County Coroner: Man shot dead in Hayneville home

Williams said it happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Wimberly Road in Hayneville.

The man was taken by ambulance to Houston Healthcare in Perry where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving, Williams said.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting and there is no additional information at this time.

According to Houston County Sheriff’s Captain Ron Brainard, the Sheriff’s Office will provide more information soon.
