The Wild West comes to LeClaire on June 29 and 30

It will be a weekend of history, cowboys, live music and family fun June 29-30 at the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show.

LE CLAIRE, Iowa — History comes alive in LeClaire!

The Buffalo Bill Wild West Show will be in town on Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet cowboy re-enactors of historical legends, including Annie Oakley, Buck Taylor and Buffalo Bill. Performers will put on a show each day, filled with backstabbing, saddle riding and an arena show.

Period-correct vendors will be on hand to sell old world wares, while prospectors will need your help finding gold, and Cale Bowe and Jordan Mohr will be singing in pop-up concerts both mornings.

The event aims to raise money for the Buffalo Bill Museum in LeClaire. It all takes place at Cody’s elementary school.

Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for seniors 65 and older and $8 for children under 12. You can find tickets online by clicking here.

The re-enactors for this event will live in a “Boomtown” camp at the elementary school. The cowboys, their families and their horses will live there for three days. There will also be ongoing demonstrations of pioneering activities, including a rubber band shooting range and children’s games.

There will be no alcohol allowed on Cody school grounds. And for the safety of all animals involved, dogs will not be allowed either since there will be 30 horses on site.

Tune in to The Current from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays to catch live interviews about you, your family and your hometown, plus all the biggest headlines of the day.
