Man killed in Suitland shooting; police search for perpetrator

Investigators do not believe this was a random crime.

SUITLAND, Maryland – A shooting in Suitland left a man dead Tuesday night, and police are searching for the person who pulled the trigger.

Officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department arrived at Regency Park Court near Suitland Road around 9:40 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found a man, identified as 24-year-old Sean Bethea of ​​D.C., had been shot.

Bethea was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators do not believe this was a random crime. They are currently working to determine a motive and identify a person who may have been involved in the deadly crime.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. Anyone with information about this case and wishing to speak to a Homicide Detective should call 301-516-2512.
