Man in critical condition after near-drowning accident in Kelayres

KELAYRES – A man is in critical condition after nearly drowning, according to state police.

Police said they were called to a home on Market Street around 3 p.m. Monday for a possible drowning.

A 56-year-old man is in the care of the emergency services there.

He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton and then flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest near Allentown, where he remains in critical condition.
