Lake Jackson Enterprise Rent-A-Car employee found dead in mall; police investigating murder

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Lake Jackson police are investigating after an Enterprise Rent-A-Car employee was found dead at a shopping center.

It happened around 6 a.m. Monday at a shopping center in the 145 block of Oyster Creek Drive.

Police responded to a call reporting a man sleeping outside a business. When they arrived, they found a dead man on the sidewalk.

Police said the man suffered injuries that are believed to be the cause of death and that the case is being investigated as a homicide.

Enterprise Mobility released a statement confirming that the man was an employee:

“We are deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence in our community. We are deeply saddened that this tragic event resulted in the death of a team member and we mourn with our team and family. We are actively cooperating with local law enforcement in their investigation,” the statement said.
