TRAFFIC ALERT: 1 dead in hit-and-run accident on Peachers Mill Road

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – One person was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Peachers Mill Road Sunday evening.

The vehicles collided around 7:50 p.m. Witnesses said a red Ford Fusion was involved and the rear of the vehicle may have been damaged. The Fusion left the scene and continued north on Peachers Mill, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.

The second vehicle hit a mast and came to a stop next to the road. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Peachers Mill Road was closed and traffic was being diverted to Abraham Drive and West Allen Griffey Rosd. Fatal Crash Investigators (FACT) were en route to the scene.

Anyone who sees a red Ford Fusion with damage to the rear should call 911 immediately.
