Man arrested for domestic violence in Venice

An ambulance was called and came to treat the injured

A man was arrested on domestic violence charges in Venice on Saturday night, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed.

Just before 8 p.m. on June 8, officers arrived at the corner of Brooks Avenue and Pacific Avenue for a report of a black man assaulting a black woman. Once on scene, the suspect was arrested without incident, according to LAPD.

According to LAPD, an ambulance was requested and arrived to treat the female victim’s injuries, although she declined to be taken to a hospital.

No further information was provided.
