Suspect sought in connection with the Escalon incident on June 2

San Joaquin County Sheriff’s officials have released information about an incident in Escalon in early June and are asking the public for help in locating the suspect.

According to the agency, on June 2 at around 7 p.m., a woman was out for an evening stroll in the area of ​​Van Allen Road and Skiff Road in Escalon when a male suspect approached her and attempted to sexually assault her. Authorities said she fought back and was able to fight off her attacker thanks to her bravery.

The male suspect was described as a white man in his 40s, approximately 6 feet tall, with blond hair, blue eyes and a birthmark on his left cheek.

A sketch based on a description of the victim and created by an artificial intelligence program has also been released. Authorities are asking the public for help in locating the suspect. They are also asking people to share the sheriff’s Facebook post in the hope that someone will recognize the man.
