Fishermen find body in Chattahoochee River – WSB-TV Channel 2

FULTON COUNTY, Georgia – A body was found in the Chattahoochee River in Fulton County Wednesday afternoon.

The Chattahoochee Hills police chief said at 5:30 p.m., two fishermen on the river called 911 because there was a body in the water.

Police arrived at the Campbellton Park boat ramp after receiving the distress call from the fishermen.

When they arrived at the scene, the fishermen led them to the crime scene where they were able to confirm a body.

LATEST STORIES:

The Chattahoochee Hills Police and Fire Department were assisted by the Department of Natural Resources in recovering the body.

There is currently no information available regarding the cause of death or identification.

Police said the body would be taken to the Fulton County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
