Holly Springs teen has been found safe, police said

Authorities announced Monday evening that a missing teenager returned home Monday in Holly Springs.

According to Holly Springs police, authorities said 18-year-old Kalea Ava Melton returned home and was safe.

Authorities said Melton went missing Saturday evening and issued a missing and endangered alert for Melton.

The Holly Springs Police Department thanks the public for their assistance and cooperation during the investigation.
