Eastbound lanes of I-20 near Liberty City reopened after serious accident

UPDATE: TxDOT announced that both lanes have reopened and asked drivers to use caution.

GREGG COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Texas Department of Transportation said the eastbound lanes of I-20 near State Highway 135 are closed due to a crash and are expected to reopen at 9 p.m.

According to TxDOT, a serious accident near mile marker 585 in Gregg County resulted in both lanes being closed.

“Please note,” TxDOT said. “Detours have been set up.”
