ATLANTA — The city of Atlanta will get the royal treatment next month with a visit from His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.

The king and queen say the United States is the Netherlands’ largest partner outside the European Union and recognize Georgia as its 10th largest U.S. trading partner, but say that ranking is rising rapidly.

During their stay, the King and Queen will meet with Governor Brian Kemp and Mayor Andre Dickens, tour the King Center, the CDC, the High Museum and much more.

They also plan to visit Patchwerk Recording Studios, where OutKast, Beyoncé, Madonna and countless others have recorded albums.

The royal couple will also participate in the opening of the Atlanta location of Dutch company NewCold, a cold storage facility.

After visiting Atlanta, the couple will visit the port of Savannah before traveling to Albany, New York and New York to finish their visit to the United States.

They will be joined by Geoffrey Wever, Minister of Economic Affairs, Communication and Sustainable Development of Aruba, Danguillaume Oduber, Minister of Tourism and Public Health of Aruba and Ruisandro Cijntje, Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao.

Aruba and Curaçao are countries of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
