One person was killed in a police-involved shooting in Grover Beach on Saturday evening.
According to a Grover Beach Police Department post at 8:42 p.m. under X, the fatal police-involved shooting occurred in the area of the 100 block of South 13th Street.
The department said the road was closed because the investigation was still ongoing.
Investigators cordoned off an area and placed several cones and markers in the middle of the street in front of the laundromat at 119 S. 13th St., which shares a parking lot with Nan’s Books & Crystals.
They also investigated a nearby commercial complex behind the Chevron gas station at the corner of West Grand Avenue and South 13th Street.
Officials at the scene declined to answer questions and the department said more information was expected to be released shortly.
