9-day forecast: The weather agency warns of strong winds and dust on Monday

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – Good evening, El Paso.

We are actually under a weather agency warning as we predict winds will enter the city on Monday. We can expect westerly winds of 15 to 20 mph.

However, gusts of up to 26 miles per hour are expected. Not so bad, but the wind can create a dusty haze in the borderlands. Be sure to take precautions, especially as our pollen count reaches 6.5.

Winds can irritate your allergies, so wear a mask and have your medications ready. Highs of 100 degrees are also forecast for Monday, our first triple-digit temperature of the year.

The wind will remain persistent on Tuesday. The good news is that there is no dust today. We can expect highs of up to 94 degrees and lows of 65 degrees overnight.

On Wednesday the day calms down compared to the other days. Windy weather and occasional gusts will occur throughout the day. Our high is quite comfortably warm at 93 degrees.

Back to those winds for Thursday. Yikes! We can expect winds without dust for the day. Our high warms up to 94 degrees; Our overnight low is forecast to be 66 degrees in the evening.

Friday will be a beautiful day with just a light breeze complementing the sunny skies with a high of 93 degrees.

Saturday is National Wine Day and I can safely say we will have clear skies with minimal clouds. Our high temperature is expected to reach 92 degrees with lows cooling to 65 degrees overnight.

The rest of the week’s highs will be in the low and mid 90s, coupled with some very nice sunny skies.

Have a wonderful week, El Paso. I’m so excited that the water parks in El Paso are finally opening and it seems like Mother Nature is on board too. Thank you for reading!
