Summery conditions at the start of the week

(KFVS) – Get a taste of summer over the next few days as temperatures rise and conditions remain dry.

As of this morning we are still seeing patchy fog. However, expect mostly sunny and warmer weather during the day as afternoon highs reach the mid 80s to low 90s.

Meteorologist Brian Alworth says it could feel hotter, with dew points in the 60s creating a slight heat index effect.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to be a little warmer and wetter as we could officially reach 90 degrees in some locations.

A weak cold front will move in from the west on Wednesday. We are monitoring the potential for strong storms late Tuesday night into Wednesday night.

After this system passes, it will be a little less warm and humid in the second half of the week, but it could warm up again and a few more thunderstorms are possible through the weekend.
