Immortalis gives us our first real look at the animated series

A full trailer has just been released for the upcoming animated series based on the popular game Dead cells, and it looks like the makers made a few unexpected decisions. On the one hand, the beheaded man can apparently speak.

Dead Cells: Immortalis is produced by Bobbypills, the studio behind the game’s animated trailers, and French streaming service Animation Digital Network. Along with the trailer, the series now has a release date: June 19th. It will initially be released in French with English subtitles before an English-language release later this year, it is said Dead cells Developer.

The trailer shows off a different animation style than we saw when the series was first announced. As hinted at the time, the main character – now introduced in the series as “The Chosen One” – adopts the Bobby design with the purple flame head. He is accompanied by a character named Laurie Esposito, Guardian of the Truth. The trailer is also a bit silly overall. Even though it seems like there will be plenty of action, don’t expect the series to take itself too seriously.
