Man murdered in Massillon cinema: police

MASSILLON, Ohio (WOIO) – Investigators say a 27-year-old man died after a shooting at a movie theater in Massillon on Friday.

Massillon Police Lt. Nicholas Antonides says the shooting happened at the Regal Cinemas at 175 Cherry Avenue just before 11 p.m.

Officers found the victim, identified as Daron Davis of Canton, dead near the lobby, Antonides said.

Antonides said officers arrested a person they consider a suspect outside the Massillon Police Department just after 11:30 p.m

The circumstances of the shooting are unclear.
