One dead and one injured after shooting in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) – Police are investigating the cause of a shooting after one person was found dead and another injured in Chesterfield.

On Sunday, July 28, police responded to the 700 block of Boulder Springs Drive around 9:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found a man and a woman who had both been shot.

The man was taken to hospital for medical treatment, while the woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to police, the shooting occurred between the two people found at the crime scene; no other people were involved.

The identities of the two victims are being kept secret until the next of kin of the deceased victim are notified.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
