French police arrest ultra-left activist after sabotage attacks: Source

French authorities have arrested an activist from an ultra-left movement on a railway company SNCF site, days after sabotage attacks brought the network to a standstill, a police source said on Monday.

The man was arrested on Sunday in Oissel, northern France, and had access to keys to SNCF technical premises as well as tools and literature linked to the ultra-left, said the source, who asked not to be identified. On Monday, fiber optic cables were sabotaged in several parts of France, police said.
