Police: Man arrested in Fall River for threatening violence

FALL RIVER, Massachusetts (WPRI) – Officers in Fall River have arrested a 50-year-old man accused of threatening violence against several people Saturday night.

Sean Dacosta was charged with disturbing the peace, terroristic threats, carrying a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.


Police said officers responded to a 911 call at around 9:50 p.m. that a man was making violent threats outside the Cardinal Medeiros Towers.

When officers went to the scene, police said they were told there was a man outside with a hammer.

Police also said that Dacosta cooperated with officers after arriving on the scene and was taken into custody.

Witnesses also accused him of threatening to shoot those present. Police said no weapons were found.
