Hundreds of people descend on the banks of the canal to show their love for Buffalo

Summer is in full swing in the 716 and Western New Yorkers are celebrating in droves. It’s almost a ritual in the Buffalo area to spend as much time as possible outdoors to enjoy the nice weather, especially since we only have less than twelve weeks of it.

But one of the great things about the Buffalo area is that there’s always something to do. Whether it’s attending a world-class food festival, touring fantastic architectural landmarks, seeing a fabulous show or concert, or simply hanging out near one of the world’s largest bodies of fresh water, Western New York has plenty to help fill your schedule.

BuffaLove Apparel has partnered with several organizations and community partners, including Townsquare Media, News Channel 7 WKBW and WNY Heroes, to present their 10th Anniversary Aerial Photo Event.

The people who gathered at Canalside all donned BuffaLove T-shirts and stood in the shape of a charging bison. Then, with the help of the Buffalo Fire Department, photographers climbed into a fire bucket and were lifted nearly 100 feet into the air to snap a photo of the crowd.
