Accidents cause traffic jams and slowdowns on I-75

Several accidents caused traffic delays and congestion on sections of Interstate 75 in Marion and Alachua counties this morning.

According to FL511.com, one of the accidents occurred just before 10:30 a.m. on I-75 northbound, near mile marker 393.

The road was temporarily closed, but has now been largely cleared. Traffic is moving slowly through the area as emergency services are still on site. The right shoulder of the road is also closed.

Further details about the accident are not available.

Another accident that occurred just before 11 a.m. near mile marker 354 northbound has caused traffic to back up to mile marker 352, according to FL511.com. The left shoulder on that stretch is also closed.

There were also constant traffic jams on an exit off State Road 326 (exit 358) throughout the morning, although these had nothing to do with an accident.
