Vigil for 8-year-old girl who died in car crash in Loudon

A vigil was held Friday night to honor an 8-year-old girl who died in a head-on collision in Loudon a week ago. Hundreds of people gathered in Laconia to remember Aira Enciso. Her brother Philip remains in a Boston hospital. The children’s mother joined the vigil via Facetime as she is in the hospital with her son and read Aria one final bedtime story – the classic book “Love You Forever.” State police said that on July 12, a Mazda 3 driven by Philip Sparacio, 36, was traveling southbound on Route 106 when it crossed the double yellow line and collided head-on with a Toyota 4 Runner driven by Stacy Sargent, 52, who was traveling northbound. Both children were passengers in the Mazda 3.
