19-year-old from Newport News shot dead in Hampton: Police

HAMPTON, Virginia – Hampton police said they are investigating after a 19-year-old Newport News man was found dead of a gunshot wound in a crashed car Tuesday morning.

Officers said they received a report of shots fired in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue around 12:15 a.m.

When they arrived on scene, they said they found a vehicle that had left the road, driven through a fence and crashed into a marshy area near Thimble Shoals Court.

Nasir Mosley was found dead in the vehicle, apparently from gunshot wounds, officials said.

A reward of up to $1,500 may be offered for information leading to an arrest.
