Manhunt shifts to London after suitcases containing remains found in Bristol

Assistant Chief Constable Andy Valentine, who is leading the investigation for the Met, said: “Over the last 48 hours we have been working very closely with colleagues from Avon and Somerset. This work leads us to believe that the man we need to speak to travelled from London to Bristol in the early hours of Wednesday evening.

“We are using resources across the police force to locate and arrest the suspect and I urge anyone who believes they see him or knows his whereabouts to call 999 immediately. Do not approach him.”

“We recognise that this has caused significant concern among residents in the Clifton area and will also cause concern among people living and working in west London. Extra officers will be patrolling the area over the coming days and I would encourage anyone with concerns to speak to them.”
