Bradford man accused of punching police officer – Finger Lakes Daily News

A Bradford man is suspected of punching a police officer in the face and attempting to choke him as he investigated a domestic dispute in the village of Bath.

After a standoff with police, 41-year-old Aaron Barnard was arrested and taken to Ira Davenport Hospital for evaluation. The injured officer was taken to the same hospital and treated for his injuries.

Barnard was charged with aggravated assault and other offenses including endangering the welfare of a child, harassment, resisting arrest and malicious damage to property.
