ARLINGTON, Va. (7News) — We are entering the second full week of July with even hotter weather. The First Alert Weather Team is on a Heat alert A heat warning is in effect on Monday from noon to 8 p.m. as the heat index is almost 40 degrees.

Expect a very warm and humid night. The air temperature in the city is not expected to fall below 26°C. There may be some fog in places around dawn.

Our heat wave continues on Tuesday, with highs again above 35 degrees and perceived temperatures around 40 degrees. The National Weather Service may issue further heat warnings.

Beryl’s moisture is just beginning to hit us on Wednesday. Tropical humidity with the next weather maker will bring thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain. On top of that, extra humidity and highs in the 30s will give it another blast. Feels like temperatures will be between 38 and 40 degrees.
