“Mass accident with injuries” leads to the closure of several lanes on the 355 on Saturday afternoon

Montgomery County Fire and Emergency Services responded to a crash on Route 355, Frederick Road and Shakespeare Boulevard in Germantown Saturday afternoon.

The accident involved two vehicles and there were multiple injuries (at least 6 patients). According to MCFRS chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, the accident was classified as a “mass casualty incident.” Some lanes were closed, but it appears the accident scene was cleared by 2:50 p.m.
