Teenager arrested for sexually abusing a four-year-old girl

Visakhapatnam, July 1

A 19-year-old teenager was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl in Visakhapatnam’s Madhurwada. The assault took place on Sunday afternoon when the victim’s parents, daily wage labourers, were not at home.
According to Disha Police Commissioner Vivekananda, the accused Tarun is a neighbour of the victim’s family and took advantage of the situation to sexually abuse the minor girl when no one was around. The victim later informed her mother about the incident and her parents immediately filed a complaint at PM Palem police station.
The case was transferred to Disha police station and a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered against the accused.
