A 57-year-old Sebring woman with a criminal record spanning more than a decade is back in jail awaiting trial on Wednesday on charges that include assault on a police officer.

In addition to the assault charge, Stephanie Shack of Ohio Avenue was arrested last week on charges of disrupting public service, telephone harassment, disorderly conduct and trespassing.

The charges stem from four incidents last month, the most recent of which occurred on Wednesday.

Police went to Shack’s house after receiving a call from someone reporting that she was outside screaming the names of police officers.

According to a police report, Shack warned officers not to approach her as she sat on her porch.

After Shack was handcuffed and placed in a patrol car, she bent his ring finger backwards, according to a police officer.

Shack is also accused of kicking an officer at the police station.

In addition to the latest charges, Shack awaits trial in Mahoning County Court on charges of assault, obstruction of office, resisting government authority, trespassing, intimidation and retaliation.

These allegations are the result of an indictment related to other incidents last December.

As of Monday, Shack remains in jail with bail set at $10,000.
