Security guard flees after accidental shooting at N Houston club

Two women were injured early Sunday morning after a security guard’s shotgun accidentally went off at a crowded north Houston club.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at a nightclub in the 400 block of W. Parker in Houston when a security guard accidentally fired a shotgun.

Initial reports from the Houston Police Department and Fire Department indicate that shotgun pellets struck two women. One suffered minor injuries to her forehead, while the other sustained injuries to her torso. Both women were treated and released at the scene by HFD personnel.

Following the incident, the security guard fled the scene. The club was packed with hundreds of people inside and others waiting to get in when the shooting occurred.

HPD is currently investigating the incident and searching for the security officer involved.
