Hong Kong police search for two men over early morning knife attack in Kowloon

Hong Kong police are searching for two suspects in connection with a knife attack on a 52-year-old man in Kowloon in the early hours of Sunday.

Police said the victim, a man surnamed Siu, suffered injuries to his nose and hands when he was attacked near Pau Chung Street in To Kwa Wan.

A friend of Siu called the police at around 1:30 a.m., but when officers arrived, the two attackers had already fled the scene.

The motive for the attack was not immediately clear.

Investigators have cordoned off part of the road and a leisure centre after reportedly discovering bloodstains stretching for 60 metres.

Police said they were looking for two men of non-Chinese ethnicity in connection with the attack.

Officers from the Kowloon City District Criminal Investigation Department are investigating the case, which involves assault.
